What Ten Hag Said About Jadon Sancho After Beating Palace 3-0

Manchester United’s manager, Eric Ten Hag, remained tight-lipped when asked about the situation surrounding Jadon Sancho, who has been sidelined following a public dispute between the player and the Dutch coach.

Despite speculation and attempts at reconciliation, Ten Hag offered no comment regarding the issue with the way he responded to the related question.

The discord between Jadon Sancho and Eric Ten Hag began when the winger was notably omitted from the squad for a match against Arsenal, which Manchester United lost 3-1.

Ten Hag justified this decision by stating that Sancho’s performance in training had not met the required standards.

Sancho, however, took to social media to express his disagreement with the manager’s assessment.

On his X (Twitter) account, he declared, “I will not allow people saying things that are completely untrue. I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into. I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time, which isn’t fair! All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.”

PFA Mediation Efforts

In an attempt to bridge the gap and find a resolution, the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has reportedly reached out to both parties involved. However, as of now, there has been no reported progress in resolving the issue.

A source close to the players has claimed: Jadon’s team-mates have been telling him to back down and say sorry to the boss. They want him to apologize. They sympathize with him and the way he feels, but recognize that a line was crossed with what he posted.

Ten Hag’s Silence Speaks Volumes: The Ongoing Sancho Saga at Manchester United

During a press conference following Manchester United’s victory over Crystal Palace in the EFL competition, Eric Ten Hag was questioned about the ongoing situation with Jadon Sancho.

The Dutch coach maintained his stance of not commenting on the matter, especially regarding unavailable players.

When asked about Sancho deleting his Instagram account, which some speculated might be a step towards finding a solution, Ten Hag responded, “I don’t know; it’s up to him. I don’t comment about players who are not available.”

Ten Hag acknowledged the immense pressure that comes with being part of Manchester United, emphasizing that the club’s high expectations and scrutiny are a constant challenge.

He added, “You don’t wear this crest to have an easy life, but because you are capable of handling the responsibility.”

“Pressure is part of life at Manchester United for everyone involved in the club”. “The demands are never easy because expectations are so high and everybody is watching”.

“But you don’t wear this crest to have an easy life, but because you are capable of handling the responsibility”.

It remains doubtful that Sancho will make a return for United when they take on Crystal Palace again, in their next Premier League match on Saturday (30 of this month) at Old Trafford, with the winger’s last outing coming before the international break.

As the situation continues to unfold, it remains uncertain when or if Jadon Sancho will make a return to Manchester United’s first-team squad.

The club and its fans will be eagerly awaiting a resolution to this ongoing saga.
