Sad News: Antony Faces New Allegations As Two More Women Come Forward

New Allegations Emerge Against Antony as Two More Women Step Forward

Manchester United footballer Antony faces fresh accusations as two additional women come forward with claims against the 23-year-old athlete.

Earlier this week, Antony was dropped from the Brazilian national team ahead of World Cup qualifying matches against Bolivia and Peru following allegations of abuse made by his former girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin.

On Thursday, two more women went public with allegations against Antony in the Brazilian media. While United stated they were taking the matter involving Cavallin “seriously” on Monday, the club has refrained from commenting on the latest accusations.

Antony has vehemently denied any wrongdoing, and investigations are currently underway both in Brazil and Manchester.

Antony’s legal team released a statement indicating their cooperation with Brazilian authorities in the ongoing investigations. They have also stated that they will refrain from making further comments at this time.

In an interview broadcast on Brazilian TV station SBT TV on Friday, Antony once again denied the allegations and expressed confidence that he would not be released by Manchester United.

He stated, “I know the truth, and it will come out. Manchester United is on top of the whole inquiry. They are following and will continue to follow.”

Furthermore, Antony addressed concerns about his career being jeopardized, saying, “I know the truth, so I’m certain that [my career ending] will not happen. I’m certain of this. I know the truth, and I know that this will not happen.”

United has also had to refute claims suggesting that the club attempted to cover up Antony’s alleged abuse of Cavallin, who chose not to remain anonymous.

According to court documents seen from reports, it is alleged that Antony contacted a United employee to attend to Cavallin after she sustained injuries in a Manchester hotel room.

Furthermore, it is claimed that the club employee arranged for a private doctor to visit Cavallin to avoid her having to go to the hospital, where questions about the injury’s origin might have arisen.

Sources close to the club assert that it is customary for the club to organize doctor’s visits for partners and family members of players and vehemently deny any allegations of attempting to conceal Antony’s behavior.

In a statement, the club asserted that the claims of a cover-up are “categorically false.”

As of now, Manchester United has not confirmed or denied Antony’s availability for upcoming matches. The team’s Premier League campaign resumes after the international break with a home game against Brighton on September 16.

Antony, the former Sao Paulo and Ajax winger who joined Old Trafford in an £85 million deal in 2022, has continued to play for Manchester United despite Cavallin’s initial accusations surfacing in June. He has made four appearances for the club this season.
