A Rising Star with International Roots

Charles Nduwuisi Ondo, born on October 22, 2003, is a dynamic footballer showcasing his skills as a left winger for the English Professional Development League’s Huddersfield Town B.

While his prowess on the field is evident, what makes his journey intriguing is his multicultural background.

Born in the vibrant city of Madrid, Spain, to a Nigerian father and an Equatorial Guinean mother, Ondo’s footballing journey has taken him from the streets of Spain to the pitches of England.

Journey Through the Ranks

Ondo’s footballing odyssey began at Millwall, where he honed his skills from a tender age, starting at U8 levels. In 2020, he made a significant move to Huddersfield Town’s youth side, quickly catching the eye of the selectors.

His talent was undeniable, and soon after, he was promoted to Huddersfield Town’s B-team. His commitment and hard work culminated in him signing his maiden professional contract with the club on February 25, 2022, extending until 2023.

His professional debut in the EFL Championship came on October 9, 2022, as a late substitute in Huddersfield Town’s commendable 2–0 victory over Hull City.

Further diversifying his experience, Ondo embarked on a loan journey, joining the League of Ireland First Division club, Waterford, on February 15, 2023.

National Allegiance and Debut

While Ondo’s talent caught the attention of various nations, it was Equatorial Guinea that secured his commitment.

The young left-back received his first call-up to the Equatorial Guinea national team for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Botswana.

His international debut, which took place on September 6, 2023, marked a significant milestone in his burgeoning career.

The AFCON Challenge Awaits
