The PSL DC, following careful deliberations, rendered their verdict: a fine of 100,000 Rand. Of this amount, 30,000 Rand was suspended, contingent upon the club avoiding a repeat offense within a 24-month period.
In addition to the monetary penalty, further directives were issued by the PSL. Kaizer Chiefs were tasked with reimbursing the cost of the damaged seating, a task to be administratively coordinated by the league itself.
The club was also required to draft a written apology, extending it not only to the league but also to the sponsors.
This apologetic stance was mandated to be displayed on the club’s official website, signifying their acknowledgment of responsibility and their commitment to upholding sportsmanship.
Beyond the financial penalty and formal apologies, the PSL’s Disciplinary Committee also laid out recommendations to further rectify and address the incident.
These recommendations, contained within a formal written ruling, will be communicated to the Kaizer Chiefs for their consideration.
